Am I Man or Am I A Muppet?
In this world, there are two types of people: Man and Muppet. In this short newsletter I will identify, examine, and divulge the difference in the two, all whilst holding true to The Muppets canon. I believe that each person contains traits of muppet-kind or man-kind and, in some rare case, people contain traces of both. Let me elaborate.
Some people are distinctly man-kind. The way they engage with the world around them is direct, straight-forward, and disconnected with child-like whimsy. They are vanilla and interact with the world around them as such. They also kinda have that face that looks like maybe they could have been a pilgrim.
Some people are distinctly muppets-kind. The way they engage with the world around them is fun, full of child-like whimsy, and they are well meaning in every sense. They are full of color and engage the world with nuance. They also are kinda funny looking.
Now there are some unique and special folks who contain both man-kind and muppet-kind. These people are special, they contain multitudes, understand nuance, and know how to get their shit together but keep it cute. Don’t know how to describe their physicality, but you’d know it if you saw them.
The leaves us with the question, who is a Miss Piggy-kind? I’d argue that celebrities like Trisha Paytas, Glen Powell, Katy Perry are Miss Piggy coded. Just nasty, big titted, sex symbols who have 4 brain cells.
Anyways reply and tell me are you a man, or are you a muppet?
Shitty Business Ideas:
Hello Sharts, I'm here today asking for three thousand dollars, a hair tie, and a grapefruit. My newest invention is really not a new business at all. It's just a fun little integration between Spotify and Lyft called TuneRider. This fun little connection would single handedly let you DJ in the Lyft auto-magically! It would look at your recent little selection of music and then play that whilst you are on your 20 minute car ride.
Gay People Are Listening To:
Mariner's Apartment Complex
By Lana Del Rey
This is an iconic piece of Lana Del Rey's catalog and really brings me back to a depressing time of my life when I was struggling. Something about this song really got me through. All I would do is drive my work car and deliver little iPhones.
I really like that this song encapsulates yearning for something you can't have and feeling like it's all your fault. I felt like that a lot in 2018/2019 and it was really such a good time for this song. I love u Lana.
They mistook my kindness for weakness
I fucked up, I know that, but Jesus
Can't a girl just do the best she can?
Catch a wave and take in the sweetness
Think about it, the darkness, the deepness
All the things that make me who I am
And who I am is a big-time believer
That people can change, but you don't have to leave her
When everyone's talking, you can make a stand
'Cause even in the dark I feel your resistance
You can see my heart burning in the distance
Baby, baby, baby, I'm your man, yeah
What do you think? Was it a bop or flop?
